Tric Trac
Skills: addition, decomposing (taking apart) numbers
Materials: 2 Tric Trac game boards They're easy to make if you'd like more people to play), 22 pennies, pair of dice
Directions: Each player covers their blank circles with pennies. Player one rolls the dice, adds to find the sum and covers the sum with a penny. If the sum is already covered (or not shown as with 11 or 12) the player moves 2 pennies down to cover each addend. If both addends aren't open they can cover another pair of numbers that add up to the sum. (Ex: If I rolled a 4 and a 5 I would cover the 9 OR the 4 and 5, 3 and 6 or 7 and 2. Play continues until there are 2 consecutive plays where neither partner can make a move. At that time, players add up all their uncovered numbers. The player with the LOWER total wins that round.
